Gary died Jan.17, 2013.  A memorial service was held Jan. 21, 2013 in Hutchinson Kansas.  He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda (Lowrey), whom he married on May 29, 1964.  He is also survived by  a son, Eric "Ric" Anderson and his wife Chris of Las Vegas, Nev.; a grandson, Sam Anderson of Lawrence; a sister, Sue Muchow and her husband Marvin of Salina; a sister-in-law, Arline Anderson of Wichita; and many nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Myrl D. "Don" Anderson; and a sister, Pat Stephens. 

Gary retired as a production manager at Eaton Corp. (formerly Cessna Fluid Power), after working there for 37 years. After retirement, Gary repaired vehicle windshields for Novus. He attended CrossPoint Church and was an avid golfer, playing primarily at Carey Park Golf Course. He also enjoyed making knives for friends and family.
